Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday announced compensation for farmers whose crops were destroyed due to recent floods. The chief minister held a meeting with the district magistrates of all the 11 revenue districts and lauded them on their efforts to tackle the flood situation.

The Yamuna river in Delhi dipped below the danger mark of 205.33 metres on Sunday night, bringing relief after several days of flooding concerns. At 10 PM, the level stood at 205.32 metres. Authorities had already evacuated residents from low-lying areas to safer camp.
