Mumbai-based music producer and singer plus songwriter Himonshu Parikh is also a keyboardist. He is also one of the founding members of the renowned indie-rock band - The Yellow Diary (TYD). He joined us on our latest episode of the Indie Insider. Interestingly, he reveals that the superhit song Roz Roz of TYD came out of an experiment. The draft of the song had a different melody also with a different hook. It was out of an experimental beat that Himonshu played. Himonshu has produced many songs for the Hindi film industry and OTT projects in recent times, like Kesariya from Brahmastra and Kho Gaye from Mismatched, Bedardeya from Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar and also Ayushmann Khurrana's latest single 'Raatan Kaaliyan'. At least nine cars were badly damaged after a huge tree in a residential building collapsed on them in Mumbai on Saturday morning. The incident happened in Mumbai's Malabar Hill area inside Geetanjali building. Besides cars, a boundary wall of the society was damaged too. Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) rushed to the spot. Further details awaited. Meanwhile, the IMD on Saturday issued a yellow alert for Mumbai, predicting heavy rainfall in parts of Maharashtra in the next 4-5 days. As per the weather update issued by IMD at 10 am, light to moderate spells of rain are very likely to occur at Mumbai, Raigad, Thane, and Palghar during the next 3-4 hours.

"The name actually comes from how the music is written," said Himonshu. "All the songs the band writes are inspired by personal stories and about people they might have come across. The lyrics of their songs might just be thoughts or philosophies about which a person might be writing in his or her journal. Like 'A Dear Diary'."According to the band, yellow is a very mysterious colour which usually means happy, but may have a very dark side to it. Even the songs by TYD have the same sort of expanse in terms of emotions - be it sad, happy, or anything in between.

After a dry spell in June, heavy rainfall in most parts of Maharashtra in July has more than doubled the collective water stock in dams across the state within a span of a fortnight. While the water stock in the dams recorded on July 1 was 24.07 per cent of the total storage capacity, it increased to 53.73 per cent on Friday evening, as per the data provided by the state water resources department.
