Prime Minister Narendra Modi has broken his silence on the controversy surrounding abusive slogans raised during the student protests at Delhi's Jantar Mantar over the alleged NEET paper leak. Addressing the issue, the Prime Minister said that "abuses never solve anything" and appealed for restraint and forgiveness instead of anger or retaliation. He said that while both he and his late mother were targeted with abusive language, he believes misguided youngsters should be guided rather than punished. The remarks come after a Zero FIR was registered against a young woman over allegedly objectionable remarks made during the protest. Amid the controversy, the woman has also publicly apologised.

A massive dust storm swept through Rajasthan's Churu district, turning day into night and bringing normal life to a standstill. Viral videos captured a giant wall of dust engulfing highways, markets and residential areas as visibility dropped to near zero. Drivers were forced to switch on headlights in broad daylight while strong winds carried thick clouds of dust across the region. Meteorologists say the event was linked to intense pre-monsoon activity, rising temperatures and a localized low-pressure system. Churu's location near the Thar Desert may have contributed to the massive volume of dust carried by the winds. The India Meteorological Department has warned of increased weather activity across Rajasthan, with thunderstorms, lightning, gusty winds and rainfall expected in the coming days.
