A controversial cartoon of Lord Ganesha depicting the tussle between Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Cricket South Africa (CSA) has led to calls from various religious groups of the Indian team boycotting the South Africa tour.
The controversial cartoon by Jonathan Shapiro that depicts Lord Ganesha as the Indian Cricket Board holding a cricket bat in one hand and wads of money in another and Cricket South Africa chief executive Haroon Lorgat lying on an altar at his feet about to be sacrificed by his bosses has upset several communities.
Jonathan Shapiro, who signs "Zapiro" on his cartoons, is an award-winning South African cartoonist.
