The senior Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and his lawyer yesterday met MCA president Ravi Savant to put forward their case after the election officer disqualified Munde on the grounds that he is not a permanent resident of Mumbai. As per records, Munde is a permanent resident of Beed. The final outcome of the hearing that was held yesterday will be out today. <img alt="Gopinath Munde" src="http://images.mid-day.com/2013/oct/Gopinath-Munde_4.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 523px;" /> Gopinath Munde &ldquo;I will approach the Bombay High Court if justice is not done to me. I should get natural justice,&rdquo; Munde told reporters.u00a0Munde&rsquo;s lawyer Nitin Pradhan said the objection raised is not fair and seems stage-managed. &ldquo;According to MCA&rsquo;s election bylaw rule No 6, only a candidate has the right to take objection. In this case, Sharad Pawar (a favourite for the president&rsquo;s post) could have taken an objection. But a voter CT Sanghavi of Vile Parle Sports Club has raised this objection. The whole process is illegal. It looks stage-managed. We don&rsquo;t know who is behind all this,&rdquo; said Pradhan informing that they have submitted Munde&rsquo;s passport, pan card, income tax return files and electricity bills of his Worli residence. Munde also trained his guns on his rival candidate Pawar. &ldquo;This is not a fair election process. Pawar is behind all this. The rules change to suit his convenience.u00a0&ldquo;There is a four-year term set for all posts except for the president&rsquo;s post. This is done so that Pawar can continue for as much time as he wants.u00a0&ldquo;MCA has become Pawar&rsquo;s monopoly. Every rule is changed for him. It seems MCA is only made for Pawar. There is no place for other candidates. I want to fight against this monopoly and that is why I entered the MCA.u00a0&ldquo;But they don&rsquo;t want me to fight this election. That is why they rejected my form so that I cannot reach the voters,&rdquo; Munde concluded.
