Robin Singh-coached Barbados Tridents claim Caribbean Premier League honours

Basseterre (St Kitts): Barbados Tridents defeated Guyana Amazon Warriors to win the 2014 Caribbean Premier League (CPL) title, after rain spoiled an absorbing contest that appeared headed for a thrilling finale here on Saturday.

The Barbados outfit is coached by former India all-rounder and fielding coach Robin Singh Set 153 for victory, Amazon Warriors were fighting back at 107 for four in the 16th over, when the rain arrived at Warner to end the game prematurely, with Denesh Ramdin's side eight runs behind on the Duckworth/Lewis method, reports CMC.
