Former Team India skipper Sourav Ganguly heaped praise on the "Men in Blue" for securing a stunning victory over Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 'Super Four' match.

He is also hopeful that Team India has a good chance to win the continental tournament's title.

Speaking to ANI, Ganguly said, "India is a very good team. We defeated Pakistan easily in the Super 4s match. We have a good chance to win (Asia Cup). I hope we will play well".

In the Asia Cup 2025 'Super Four' match against Pakistan, the "Men in Blue" secured a dominating win by six wickets at the Dubai International Stadium.

After suffering a defeat for the second time in the Asia Cup 2025 against India, the "Green Shirts" will lock horns against Sri Lanka, with an aim of keeping their hopes alive to seal the final berth.

On the other hand, India will take on Bangladesh on September 24 at the Dubai International Stadium.

Meanwhile, Ganguly was re-elected unopposed as Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) president on Monday, replacing his brother Snehasish Ganguly, who had been in the role for nearly three years. With no other candidates contesting the polls when Ganguly filed his nominations just over a week back, Ganguly became the president unopposed.

The former cricketer had previously served as the CAB president from 2015 to 2019.

Speaking to ANI about being re-elected, he said, "I have worked as a President for 5 years before this as well. We will do what is best. There is an immense craze for cricket in India. There is a lot of talent. It will be our work to give direction to this talent".

After concluding with Bangladesh's clash, the Indians will clash against their distant rivals, Sri Lanka, on September 26.

The final of the Asia Cup 2025 is scheduled to be played on September 28.
