Former South African captain Graeme Smith and his wife Morgan Deane announced their separation two weeks ago. Then, shocking details of the break-up emerged in a South African newspaper in which the Irish singer’s ‘unnamed friends’ were quoted. The Sunday Times claimed that Smith’s wife of four-and-a-half years had come to know of his divorce plans after accidentally receiving an SMS meant for his lawyer. However, Smith yesterday denied these reports.

Deane’s pals even went to the extent of accusing the 34-year-old ex-cricketer of abandoning the family to follow the South African team at the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
