I hope BCCI doesn't bury corruption issue: Lalit Modi

Former Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman Lalit Modi yesterday hoped that Indian cricket board will do all that is required to root out corruption in the game and not sweep things under the carpet.
Modi, who was removed as IPL chief in 2010 after being accused of financial impropriety, was reacting to the Wednesday’s arrest of Rajasthan Royals cricketers S Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan on corruption charges.
“I hope the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) does not bury this issue. It is the one issue that will destroy cricket. I hope the zero tolerance policy we had is still there,” tweeted Modi yesterday.u00a0
