Former India fast bowler and bowling coach, Venkatesh Prasad has denied being approached by Cricket Australia (CA) to take over the reins of Australia's bowling coach that was left vacant by Troy Cooley.
Yesterday, there were reports flying around that Prasad was tipped to join the Australian cricket team. "These reports are totally false. I haven't been approached by anyone in Cricket Australia. A reporter did give me a call to talk about Australia's current bowling stocks.
"I have my hands full as the bowling coach of Chennai Super Kings, and as the Cricket Development Officer for Asian Cricket Council (ACC)," Prasad told MiD DAY.
Asked if he would accept the job if approached, 41-year-old Prasad said: "I haven't thought about it as yet. As I said, I already have lots of commitments to fulfil."
