Harmanpreet Kaur-led India will gear up for the upcoming Women’s ODI World Cup with two crucial warm-up matches against England and New Zealand, scheduled to be held in Bengaluru later this September. The World Cup, set to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, will run from September 30 to November 2, marking the tournament’s return to the subcontinent after 12 years.

India will begin their preparations with a fixture against England on September 25 at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence ground, followed by a clash with New Zealand at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on September 27. Notably, the Chinnaswamy will also host the opening match of the main tournament on September 30.

Meanwhile, arch-rivals Pakistan will play both their warm-up fixtures and all World Cup matches in Sri Lanka, following a mutual agreement between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Pakistan’s preparatory games are scheduled for September 25 and 28 at the Colombo Cricket Club, where they will face the Sri Lanka senior team and the Sri Lanka 'A' side respectively.

In total, eight participating teams will feature in a series of round-robin warm-up matches spread across four venues, the M Chinnaswamy Stadium and BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, along with the R Premadasa Stadium and Colombo Cricket Club in Colombo. The ICC confirmed that nine day-night fixtures will take place from September 25 to 28 as part of the warm-up phase.

Defending champions Australia, the only side not in action on the opening day of the warm-ups, will kick off their campaign with a high-profile encounter against England at the Centre of Excellence on September 27. The match is expected to be a key test for both sides ahead of the main event.

The five venues selected for the tournament are M Chinnaswamy Stadium (Bengaluru), ACA Stadium (Guwahati), Holkar Stadium (Indore), ACA-VDCA Stadium (Visakhapatnam), and R Premadasa Stadium (Colombo). These locations will host matches over the month-long event as the world’s top women’s teams vie for the prestigious ODI title.

Warmup match schedule:
