Pakistan cricket coach Mickey Arthur said that he understands why Mohammad Amir announced retirement from Test cricket at the age of 27, as his career was considerably damaged by the spot-fixing scandal that took away 5 years.

Mohammad Amir was banned for five years for his involvement in the 2010 spot-fixing scandal in England. Mohammad Amir returned to all formats of the game in 2015 but announced his retirement from Tests after having played 36 Tests taking 119 scalps in his chequered career.
