London: On the eve of the fifth Test at the Oval, skipper MS Dhoni claimed that India had studied their debacle in the previous game at Old Trafford and he was confident his side would not commit the same mistakes.

But, given what followed yesterday after the visitors were put in to bat, it was evident that the team had learnt nothing from their previous thrashings. The top-order folded in a heap, and at one stage they had lost six wickets for only 44 runs.
