I also did well against Australia, so I was expecting a call up for the Zimbabwe tour,&rdquo; Rasool told reporters here. &ldquo;I was expecting the selectors to give rest to (Ravichandran) Ashwin for this tour. I would like to thank almighty Allah... without his help this all was impossible for me,&rdquo; he added. Former India spinner Bishan Bedi, who coached the Jammu and Kashmir first-class team, rates Rasool highly. &ldquo;He is an orthodox off-spinner, is a brilliant all-round cricketer and a very good athlete,&rdquo; said Bedi.

Parvez Rasool yesterday became the first Kashmiri cricketer to be selected for India after he was named in the side that will play five ODIs against Zimbabwe between July 24 to August 3.
