World No 1 Serena Williams defeated her sister Venus 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 today to reach the final of the ATP and WTA hardcourt tennis tournament here.

Serena, who claimed her 10th Grand Slam title at the Australian Open this year, booked a meeting with Victoria Azarenka of Belarus, who beat eighth-seeded Russian Svetlana Kuznetsova 6-3, 2-6, 7-5.
