In the World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025 final, South Africa Champions defeated Pakistan Champions by nine wickets at the Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham.

During the match, South Africa's AB de Villiers played an unbeaten knock of 120 runs off just 60 deliveries. His fiery knock was laced with 12 boundaries and seven maximums.


Following the knock and victory, former Team India all-rounder Suresh Raina, who also represented India Champions, shared a congratulatory post for the Proteas.



In his post, the left-hander said that if India had played against Pakistan, they would've crushed them too. Taking to X:

Earlier, India Champions refused to play against Pakistan in the tournament due to the ongoing cross-border tensions between the two nations.

India Champions pulled out of the group stage match and semi-final clash against Pakistan, as they took a firm stand to put their country first before the sport.

Coming to the WCL 2025 final match, batting first, Sharjeel Khan played a knock of 76 runs off 44 deliveries, including nine boundaries and four maximums. Kamran Akmal departed early on just two runs after facing five balls.

Skipper Mohammad Hafeez scored 17 runs in 10 balls, with the help of four boundaries. Facing 25 balls, Shoaib Malik scored 20 runs. Umar Amin scored an unbeaten 36 runs in 19 balls, which was laced with three boundaries and the same number of maximums.

Asif Ali scored 28 runs in 15 balls, with the help of a boundary and two maximums. Aamer Yamin, too, stayed unbeaten on two runs after facing two balls. With this, Pakistan posted a total of 195 runs for the loss of five wickets.

Hardus Viljoen bagged two wickets, followed by Wayne Parnell's two-wicket haul. Duanne Olivier claimed one wicket by conceding 38 runs. Imran Tahir and Aaron Phangiso went wicketless in the match.

Chasing a target of 196 runs, AB de Villiers alone scored an unbeaten 120 runs in 60 balls, including 12 boundaries and seven maximums. Fellow opener, Hashim Amla, departed after scoring 18 runs in 14 balls, with the help of two boundaries.

Along with de Villiers, JP Duminy stayed unbeaten on the score of 50 runs. He faced 28 balls and smashed four boundaries and two maximums.

With this, the South Africa Champions defeated the Pakistan Champions and clinched the World Championship of Legends 2025 title.
