The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) on Saturday inaugurated the newly constructed Sharad Pawar Cricket Stadium on the premises of historic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai
In the beginning, the former players and officials of the board were welcomed by 'Dhol Tasha Pathak'
During the ceremony, the two statues of former MCA President, Sharad Pawar, and legendary Team India cricketer, Sunil Gavaskar, were unveiled, which were placed outside the museum
Later, the 'Little Master' himself was seen striking a pose next to his statue. The statue holds a significant importance, as it is sculpted in such a way that Gavaskar is seen celebrating his 10,000th run in the history of Test cricket. He was the first-ever player in the game's history to achieve the feat
Gavaskar's son, Rohan, was also seen posing next to his father's statue along with his entire family
Former MCA president, Sharad Pawar, was also snapped next to his statue outside Mumbai's museum
Former Mumbai cricketer and Mumbai Indians' bowling coach, Paras Mhambrey, was also one of the attendees for the event in the city
