Pacer Renuka Thakur has been included in India's squad for the upcoming ODI Women's World Cup 2025. The squad was announced by Team India's chief selector Neetu David and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur
Swashbuckling batswoman Shafali Verma, however, was left out of the national squad for the World Cup. Speaking about Shafali's exclusion, Neetu said, "Shafali is in our system, we have our eye on her and the more she plays she will be able to serve India in the future in ODIs"
On Renuka's inclusion in the squad, the 47-year-old said, "Renuka has always been a precious player; she had some niggles, but she is available now. She is our main player for this World Cup"
