If Team India's think tank decides to provide rest to Bumrah for the second Test match, then Arshdeep Singh can possibly come in as his replacement. Although Kuldeep Yadav can't bowl at a pacer's speed, but has the ability to make the batsmen dance in the crease. Ahead of the second Test match, the Birmingham pitch is expected to turn out to be spin-friendly, where Kuldeep, if included, can deliver match-winning performances for the visitors
Akash Deep could be another option if India benches Bumrah for the Edgbaston clash. So far, he has played seven Test matches for India and has claimed 15 wickets. The 28-year-old pacer is known for his length and line and could be a better option for the upcoming Test if not Arshdeep
Nitish Kumar Reddy, a youngster who impressed cricket fans during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Along with bowling, the 22-year-old can feature as a middle-order batsman as well, providing India the option of having depth in the batting line-up
