The IPL 2025 is all set to resume from May 17 with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) playing the first match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium
Earlier, due to suspension, many overseas players returned to their respective nations with a perspective of engaging in their upcoming matches
As of now, Romario Shepherd and Liam Livingstone are said to have joined the Bengaluru-based franchise
But the feature of their lead pacer, Josh Hazlewood, is still uncertain. In the ongoing league, the pacer has claimed 18 wickets and is placed in the third position of leading wicket-takers
The dugout will also expect their star pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar to bring his 'A-game' out and help RCB secure their spot in the playoffs
Additionally, so far the side has displayed an exceptional effort in the tournament. With eight wins, RCB is placed in the second spot on the points table
It will be interesting to see if RCB continues to keep their winning momentum on or falter apart if their overseas player doesn't show up for the remainder of the league. After KKR's match, the side will clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and will then conclude the group stage with a game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)
