Later, captain Rishabh Pant returned to the pavilion after scoring 26 runs in 22 balls, which included three boundaries. Mukul Choudhary also lost his wicket on one ball in three balls. Abdul Samad and Arjun Tendulkar stayed unbeaten. Facing 20 balls, Samad scored 37 runs, with the help of three boundaries and the same number of maximums, whereas Tendulkar scored five runs in five balls.
