In the ODI Women's World Cup 2025, Team India's premier batswoman, Smriti Mandhana, smashed 109 runs off 95 balls. During her knocks, the left-hander also smashed 10 boundaries and four maximums
With this, she scripted history by levelling the record of legendary Australian batswoman, Meg Lanning, for the most international centuries. Both of them are tied at the top with 17 centuries each
The Indian also tied with South Africa's Tazmin Brits for the record of the most number of centuries in women's ODI matches in a single calendar year. Both players have scored five hundreds in 2025, while Mandhana had registered four centuries in 2024
She also achieved the feat of registering the most number of maximums in women's cricket in a calendar year in WODIs. So far in 2025, Mandhana has smashed 29 maximums and surpassed South Africa's Lizelle Lee's record of 28 sixes in 2017
The 29-year-old cricketer is also the second India Women batter with three consecutive 50-plus scores in ODI World Cups after Harmanpreet Kaur, who reached that feat in 2017
