South Africa's stand-in captain Wiaan Mulder is currently unbeaten on 264 runs in the second Test match against Zimbabwe

With this, he created history by becoming the highest scorer in a debut innings as captain in the longest format of the game

He also achieved the record of becoming the player to record the fastest-ever 250 runs in terms of balls by a South African

His knock of 264 runs also became the highest score by a South African in a single day of a Test match. In addition, he hit the second-fastest double century by a South African player

Riding on his knock, South Africa posted a total of 465 runs for the loss of four wickets. This also marked South Africa's highest-ever single-day total in Test cricket and the most runs scored in a day's play on Zimbabwean soil
