Brendan Taylor, who is making his return to international cricket after serving his ban, is on the verge of completing 10,000 international runs for Zimbabwe
If he manages to complete the run tally, Taylor will become the third player from Zimbabwe to achieve the feat. The other two batsmen to have achieved the milestone are Andy Flower (11,580 runs) and Grant Flower (10,028 runs)
The 39-year-old is currently the third-highest run-scorer for Zimbabwe. So far, he has scored 9938 international runs across all three formats of the game, which includes 17 centuries and 57 half-centuries
He has scored 2320 runs in 34 Test matches, followed by 6,628 runs in 202 One-Day International games. Taylor has also represented Zimbabwe in 45 Twenty20 International matches, garnering 934 runs in the format
Zimbabwe will play against New Zealand in the second Test match, commencing on August 7. The side is trailing by 1-0 against the 'Black Caps'
