Playmaker Kevin De Bruyne thinks Manchester City deserved their place in the final of the League Cup after a 3-2 win at Bristol City.&nbsp;Goals from Leroy Sane, Sergio Aguero and De Bruyne secured a 5-3 aggregate triumph and manager Pep Guardiola's first cup final in English football.
'Good game' "Very pleased. We played a very good game. They had two chances with the long balls and it's a little bit of a shame that they score two times but today we were very good," De Bruyne told Sky Sports. "We didn't really give them opportunities and in the end we scored in the last minute. "We came here, we knew the crowd would be up for it but we managed to keep them quiet. We controlled the game very well and especially in the first half they didn't get any chances. "After the 2-0 they were going to play long balls and in the end I think we deserved to go to Wembley."
Pep wants EPL trophy Despite reaching the final, Guardiola put the Premier League at the top of his trophy wish list. "I always say the next one is the most important," Guardiola said. "But I like the Premier League a lot, because every single weekend or every three days you have to be ready. For me that is more important. The Champions League is the most beautiful, the most prestigious. "But the Premier League is something special &mdash; like it was the La Liga for me or the Bundesliga in Germany. After that the FA Cup is important, and now we are in the final of the League Cup we try to win that. "We are going to prepare now for the next one against Cardiff (in the FA Cup) and that will be different to how we prepared for Bristol, because Cardiff play a lot of long balls."
