London: Arsenal's German forward Lukas Podolski is confident his team can beat Hull City in the FA Cup final tonight in Wembley and lay their hands on the first piece of silverware in nine years. <img title="Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski. "We are on a good run and are favourites," Podolski said.
"We play very well in the last five or six matches so we go to Wembley with thousands of our fans and we must play like in our last matches.
'The FA Cup is a big cup with a lot of history &mdash; it is not like the other cups in other leagues. So it is an important game and when I win the FA Cup, it will be a great cup for me when I look back after my career.
"We have a lot of players with confidence. We go there on the pitch and we play our game and when we play like the other matches, the last five matches, we will win the match," added Podolski.
Nine-year pressure Meanwhile, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has expressed confidence that the pressure of the club's nine-year trophy drought will not derail his side against Hull City tonight.
"You don't play with the history," he said. "You play with your quality and your desire to play well. It is an opportunity and we have to take a distance with time. We need to just turn up and play well."
Arsenal last won a trophy in 2005, when they beat Manchester United on penalties in the 2005 FA Cup final.
They have since lost two League Cup finals, in 2007 and 2011, and been beaten by Barcelona in the 2006 Champions League final.
Ozil confident of win Arsenal's record signing Mesut Ozil is confident the Gunners can win tonight and that once the current Arsenal squad get their first taste of success, it can prove a springboard for more.
"We are in the final and we want to take this silverware now. I am convinced we will achieve that," he said.
"We can win titles with this squad, this is very important for the fans as well because they have been waiting for so long.
"I am very proud of the team. We qualified for the Champions League and we are in the FA Cup final," added the German forward.
