London: Former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry yesterday officially joined social media platform Twitter and as expected his account saw thousands of followers joining in almost instantly.

Henry posted his first message on @ThierryHenry saying, &ldquo;Hi this is Thierry Henry. This is my only official Twitter account.
Everything posted on here will be my views. Welcome.&rdquo; Less than half an hour after he did this, he gained 60,000 followers. The 36-year-old, Frenchman, currently plays for MLS side New York Red Bulls. He is Arsenal&rsquo;s all-time leading goalscorer, and also earned 123 caps for France during his international career.
