<p>Former French striker Thierry Henry has landed his first major coaching role after being appointed as an assistant manager of the Belgium national team.</p>
<p>The former Arsenal striker's new role will see him assist Roberto Martinez.</p>
<p>The Belgium national team, also known as the Red Devils, will begin their campaign to qualify for the FIFA World Cup soon.</p>

<p>Henry has been on the look out for a coaching job since the time Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger rejected him since he wasn't happy with the idea of Henry combining his responsibilities as a Sky expert with a role with the Under-18 side.</p>
<p>Henry will now have the chance to combine his new role with his work as a Sky TV pundit, just like Gary Neville did with England.</p>
<p>Henry&rsquo;s first game as assistant to former Everton manager Martinez will be Belgium&rsquo;s friendly tie with Spain on September 1. Five days after the Spain friendly, Belgium start their 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign against Cyprus.</p>
