London: England football team head coach Roy Hodgson warned skipper Wayne Rooney that there is 'no guarantee' of a place in the team, adding the star striker will have to earn his place every time.

Rooney became England’s all-time leading scorer recently but his form for English club Manchester United this season has been patchy with only one Premier League goal to his name so far.
