Asian Games: Mairaj narrowly misses out on bronze medal tie in skeet

Mairaj Ahmad Khan narrowly missed out on a place in the bronze medal contest after he finished fifth in men's skeet semifinals at the 17th Asian Games here yesterday

Asian Games: Mairaj narrowly misses out on bronze medal tie in skeet

Incheon: Mairaj Ahmad Khan narrowly missed out on a place in the bronze medal contest after he finished fifth in men's skeet semifinals at the 17th Asian Games here yesterday.

In the 1st competition stage semifinal, Mairaj shot 11, two less than fourth-placed Chinese's Jin Di at the Gyeonggido Shooting Range.


India, with a total score of 338, finished seventh in skeet men's team finals. China won the gold medal, Kuwait clinched silver while South Korea bagged bronze.



In the team event, Mairaj shot 119, Parampal Singh Guron had 110 while Arozepal Sandhu could manage 109. In individual event, Mairaj was sixth in qualification 2
with 119.
