India's 2012 London Olympics bronze medal-winning wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt, 35, yesterday said that tennis ace Leander Paes' bronze medal at the 1990 Atalanta Games inspired him to win a medal at the Olympics. Paes, 44, won bronze in the men's singles event and remains India's only tennis medallist at the Olympics so far.

"Leander, you have been an inspiration for me right from the start. The first time I thought of winning an Olympic medal was after I saw you win one. You are the nation's pride," Dutt wrote on Twitter alongside this picture after the two athletes met at the SAICON 2017 (International Conference on Sports Medicine & Sports Sciences) in New Delhi yesterday.

Union Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore inaugurated the event that also had Olympians like wrestler Karnam Malleswari and former hockey stars V Bhaskaran and Vece Paes in attendance.
