Maharashtra defeated Chandigarh 5-1 in their second group game of the AIFF Junior National Football Championships, played at Cuttack on Saturday.

Maharashtra opened their scoring in the 17th minute via a Suman Salian header. They continued to attack and were rewarded in the 24th minute, when Jyotika Singh slotted home from the top of the box.

Chandigarh managed to pull one back in the 38th through a nicely placed free kick in the 38th minute. Maharashtra skipper Abeer scored in the 61st minute.
