Hyderabad: India's tennis ace Sania Mirza has earned a cool Rs 2 crore from the Telangana government within a short span of less than two months.
On Thursday, Sania Mirza was rewarded with Rs 1 crore by the newly-formed state's chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for winning the US Open mixed doubles title in New York last weekend. Mirza and her Brazilian partner Bruno Soares beat USA's Abigail Spears and Mexican Santiago Gonzalez 6-1, 2-6, 11-9 in the final at Flushing Meadows.
