One-handed wonder Om Lotlikar ignored the disadvantage of playing with only his left hand and won hearts with a gritty effort to storm into the men's pre-quarter-finals, in The Malabar Hill Club 3 Star Mumbai City District table tennis tournament yesterday.

Lotlikar, who was forced to amputate his right hand after a freak accident some years back, beat Rajesh Bhatia 11-8, 11-9, 6-11, 11-9 in the first round and followed it up with a win over Deepak Dudhane 4-11, 7-11, 11-9, 11-9, 11-8.
