WWE champion Jinder Mahal is all set to defend his WWE title against superstar Randy Orton at the upcoming WWE pay-per-view Battleground this Sunday.


Jinder Mahal defeated Randy Orton at Money in the Bank and retained the WWE championship. Indian-origin WWE superstar Jinder Mahal won his first ever WWE championship when he defeated Randy Orton at Backlash.


The two WWE stars are scheduled to face off in a Punjabi Prison match for the title. Here is some important trivia about the Punjabi Prison.

>> The Punjabi Prison match between Jinder Mahal and Randy Orton will be the first since 2007 and only the third in WWE history.

>> The Punjabi Prison match was made famous by Indian WWE superstar The Great Khali.

>> The first ever Punjabi Prison match took place at The Great American Bash in 2006 between The Undertaker and Big Show. Initially, it was The Great Kali who was scheduled to face Undertaker.

>> The Great Khali later on faced Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship in the second Punjabi Prison match at No Mercy in 2007.
