PUNE: The Pesi Shroff-trained Costa Del Sol, who decisively beat the Malesh Narredu-trained Colombiana in the grade 1, Poonawalla Breeders' Multi-Million at Mumbai, now faces him again in the grade 2, F D Wadia Trophy to be run over identical trip, which is slated as the stellar attraction of Sunday's eight-race card.
Colombiana is going into this race after a superb mock race last month, and will not go down without a fight. However, looking to Trevor Patel's current incredible riding form (he scored another treble yesterday after nine wins over last weekend), I feel Costa Del Sol will be able to humble Colombiana yet again. Avant Garde, who broke her maiden by a stylish win during the Bangalore summer season, is the one who looks capable of adding pep to the finish.
