Czech tennis player Karolina Pliskova, who was World No. 1 last season, has married her manager and TV personality Michal Hrdlicka, she announced on Twitter. Pliskova, 26, is currently No. 9 in the WTA rankings. It is learnt that Hrdlicka, 29, had proposed marriage last year and the couple had decided to tie the knot post-Wimbledon this year.

“My man of my life #justmarried,” Pliskova wrote alongside the above picture on Twitter. According to the Czech tabloid Blesk, Pliskova's twin sister Kristyna, also a tennis player, was witness to the wedding, which was a modest affair for family and close friends. Hrdlicka's daughter, from his previous relationship, was also part of the celebration.
