Samuel Eto'o has admitted that it took him a few minutes to adjust to not playing for Barcelona during Inter'su00a0 goalless draw in the Champions League on Wednesday night. The Cameroonian striker spent five successful seasons at Camp Nou, and to suddenly find himself having to pass to their opposition was strange for him. Despite that initial hesitancy, Eto'o soon found his feet and impressed during a first half when he busied himself trying to create an opening for the Serie A champions. "Playing against my old teammates was bizarre at first, because I was with them for a long time," he told uefa.com. "But I guess it's normal to feel that way, initially. After three or four minutes, I was fine though, and fully focussed on the match, which was tricky because we were up against the best team in Europe. "It was very difficult but the most important thing was not to lose. We could have even won it, but considering the way the match unfolded we're satisfied with the point." Eto'o was full of praise for his former team-mates, with one in particular continuing to impress in the position where he used to supply the striker with chances. "[Samuel] Messi is a truly great player. I don't know what more I can say about him. He is uniqueu00a0the Maradona of his day," Eto'o added.
