Mohammad Ghufran and Kajal Kumari, both representing Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB), registered contrasting wins to bag the men's and women's singles crowns respectively in the LIC of India sponsored 24th Federation Cup all-India carrom championship, organised by the All India Carrom Federation and hosted by the Maharashtra Carrom Association in Dadar recently.
In the women's final, Kajal beat Jain Irrigation's Aisha Mohammad in straight games 25-13, 25-12. However, Ghufran overcame a stiff challenge from World Champion Prashant More of Reserve Bank of India, before winning 25-13, 12-25, 22-19.
