Despite there being only six runners in the fray, the RWITC Ltd Turf Championships (Gr 3) may turn out to be a close affair as last year’s champion Alaindair takes on the second rung of this year’s crop over the nine-furlong race which is slated as the feature event of today’s eight-race card.

Though his last run in the Invitation Cup turned out to be a tame effort, Alaindair is expected to triumph over Shivalik Showers and the rest.
