Born on August 11, 1953, in Augusta, Georgia, Hogan's rise from regional wrestling circuits to worldwide stardom is etched into the history of sports entertainment. With his unmistakable handlebar moustache, trademark bandanna, and magnetic charisma, Hogan transcended wrestling and became a pop culture icon during the 1980s and early 1990s.

Widely regarded as the face of professional wrestling’s golden era, Hogan was instrumental in transforming Vince McMahon’s then-World Wrestling Federation (WWF) into a household name. His arrival in the company in 1983 marked the beginning of a new era in wrestling.

Known for his 'Hulkamania' catchphrase and crowd-firing theatrics, he headlined numerous WrestleMania events and played a pivotal role in shaping the global success of WWE.

Beyond the ring, Hogan's presence was just as commanding. He ventured into acting, appearing in films such as Suburban Commando and Mr. Nanny, and was a frequent guest on television shows during wrestling's crossover into pop culture.

In 2005, Hogan was rightfully inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, solidifying his legacy among the all-time greats. He remained a part of WWE programming and fan events into his later years, often making surprise appearances that ignited nostalgic cheers from audiences around the world.

Funeral and memorial arrangements are yet to be announced by the family.
