In fact the World No 2 Russian says that besides her tennis she is "not good at many other things."
In the interaction with Yahoo Beauty editor Bobbi Brown for Yahoo Beauty, Sharapova said: "I am not a great dancer! There are many things I am not great at.
I haven't perfected cooking because I haven't had the time, but I really love food. I grew up with Russian cuisine, with my grandmother's cooking, so I would have to go with Russian dumplings, and all kinds of different salads, it's a type of comfort food. I love to do cocktails with vodka in it."
'For my children...' The 27-year-old blonde, who is dating fellow tennis star Grigor Dimitrov (23) of Bulgaria, however admitted that cooking is something she hopes to get better at some time in the future for the sake of her kids. "I really wish that I could be a good cook, especially for my future children one day."
Sharapova, who became famous 10 years ago, when she beat American Serena Williams to win Wimbledon at the age of 17, said that self-belief is the key to success.
"When something happens to you in a moment where you think, 'gosh that was lucky.' But when you actually think about it you realise, 'I worked for luck to come at this period of time, I just didn't expect it in this moment'," said Sharapova admitting that stepping onto a court with thousands watching is still "really scary."
Beauty secret Finally, an interview with the pretty blonde cannot be complete without a discussion on beauty. When asked whether she wears any make-up on court, Sharapova explained that it is always more important to look after your skin rather than doing anything extra-ordinary to it.
"I think that beauty always comes in the way that you take care of your skin, not in the make-up you put on your face," said Sharapova.
