The second report from an independent security firm engaged by Netball New Zealand (NNZ) and Hockey New Zealand (HNZ) has raised no fresh concerns ahead of next month's Delhi Commonwealth Games. The three sports bodies had commissioned independent security advice amid rising concerns about Delhi's readiness for the mega event. "They haven't raised anything significantly different than the concerns we were already aware of," The New Zealand Herald quoted Raelene Castle, NNZ Chief Executive, as saying. Castle further said that NNZ and HNZ would continue to get information in the next few days. "We've got a plan in place which is close communications with the NZOC, and our own people we are talking to," Castle said. "We'll have regular updates and make our decision once we get that final information back from the NZOC," she added. Meanwhile, a New Zealand Olympic Committee (NZOC) team, including chef de mission Dave Currie, is in the Indian capital doing checks on all aspects surrounding the Games. The concerns include security, transport, the state of sports facilities and the recent dengue fever outbreak. Currie had earlier stressed that security fears were being heightened by "mischievous" speculation.
