Mumbai's Sameer Rattonsey won the India Poker Championship (IPC) at Goa on Sunday. He beat a field of 83 players, who had come to the island state from all over the country to participate in the national championship held at the Royale Room, on board the Casino Royale.

With this championship Rattonsey capped off an incredible year in which he had also finished runner-up at the Asian Poker Tour's inauguralu00a0 edition in India last month, after having narrowly missed out on winning the title of the India Player of the Year (IPoY) to Bangalore's Abhishek Goindi in October.
