Ronnie O'Sullivan was just three frames away from a fifth world snooker title after establishing a 15-10 lead over Barry Hawkins in the final at Sheffield's Crucible Theatre yesterday.

The 37-year-old O’Sullivan, bidding to become the first player to mount a successful title defence since Stephen Hendry in 1996, established a new record for a Crucible final by taking his tally of centuries for the match to six.
