Sania Mirza is just a match away from qualifying into the US Open tennis main draw. <img alt="" src="/imagedata/2010/aug/sania1.jpg" border="5" /> Sania, ranked 160, beat Russian Elena Bovina 6-3, 6-3 in the third and final qualifying round on Thursday. The 23-year-old Indian now plays 31-year-old Colombian Catalina Castano against whom she leads 2-0. This is the first time since 2005 that Sania is playing in the qualifying round to enter a Grand Slam main draw because of a dip in her rankings.
