Nagpur girls Vidhi Athilkar and Amulya Lanjewar registered wins in the girls under-13 group to enter the second round of the first Maharashtra Sub-junior state selection badminton tournament at Kalidas Sports Complex in Mulund yesterday.

Vidhi beat Ishita Korgaonkar 15-8, 15-7, while Amulya defeated Akshaya Ramakrishnan 15-2, 15-12. In the same group, Sanvi Mardolkar, Paakhi Vashishtha and Aditi Tadas fought hard to win their matches and progress to the next round.
