Sutil and Di Resta ended the day 10th and 11th fastest, respectively, separated by just a thousandth of a second with lap-times that, in the second session, were slightly slower than the lead McLaren of Jenson Button.

“I think it was quite a successful session for us in terms of what we got out of it,” Di Resta, who made way for reserve driver James Calado in the first session, said after practice. “Again, I think our one-lap performance needs to be improved for a qualifying result while our race pace on the long runs was very good.”
