Tiger Woods has reportedly undergone surgery after being smashed in the face with a 9-iron by his wife.u00a0 
 Elin is thought to have hit the golf star in the head so hard with the nine iron that she broke his cheek, cut him badly and almost knocked out his two front teeth.
 The injuries were so bad that when Tiger left hospital he is said to have been flown by private jet to see a plastic surgeon to fix his face.

 It is also the reason Tiger has not been seen in the past five weeks since the scandal over the attack and his affairs surfaced.
 One of America's top sportwriters found out about the alleged incident from a close friend of Tiger's agent. He claims Elin flew into a rage after spotting texts to her husband from one of the mistresses he had been having a fling with.
 Writing on his blog, reporter Furman Bisher said: "Tiger turned away to look at the TV and, as he turned back, Elin hit him with the head of the nine iron. She put a huge gash in the right side of his face, virtually knocking two of his upper teeth out, and breaking the bone on the upper right side.
 "He ran scared as hell out of the house with Elin swinging the golf club throughout the hallway to the garage.
 "Tiger hopped in the car and tried to leave and, as we know, Elin knocked out the windows."
 Bisher claims the golfer went on to crash the Cadillac Escalade shortly after.
 The incident is said to have flared up when Elin read a text Tiger forgot to delete while he was playing poker with friends.
 Bisher's source said there was other incriminating evidence such as a picture. Elin "started a heated discussion" when he returned from the card game around midnight. Bisher writes: "Tiger tried to play it off by telling her she was reading too much into it. Tiger stayed to his guns and denied everything. Elin then hit him."
