In the men's heavyweight category, Jhandu Kumar lifted 181 kg in his first attempt for 124.7 points. In his second attempt, he improved his performance and lifted 190 kg, which helped him move to the top of the standings. However, he faced a setback in his third attempt, when he went for a lift of 196 kg but couldn’t complete it, thereby settling for a bronze medal
